WW2 Leather Gilet or Jerkin
A Leather Jerkin as worn by New Zealand troops. The design of this article dates back to the First World War. It was much sought after for it's warmth; and the sleeveless design made it easy to perform manual tasks. The Leather also offered some protection against barbed wire.
